Yesterday at approximately 4:30pm, a two vehicle crash occurred within the intersection of Hwy 60 and Western in Marionville.  Crews responded and found numerous injuries as a result of the crash.  Despite efforts, tragically one occupant of a passenger car succumbed to their injuries at the scene and passed away.

Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the family of this victim today.  Any loss of life in this manner is unspeakable, but when it happens during this time of year, we have to imagine the sting is even more pronounced.  Out of respect, we will wait until tomorrow to publish the name of the deceased.  For today, let’s all think about this family and also hope for the full recovery of the others involved in this incident.

We cannot thank our partners in emergency services enough.  Fire and ambulance personnel put themselves in these dangerous intersections right along with us to provide traffic control and patient care.  Thank you for helping our communities like you do.
