The Barry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 235 calls for service during the week of April 27 to May 3, according to a May 4 statement. The calls were handled by officers who responded daily as part of central dispatch’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) events.
These calls included a range of incidents such as alarms, assaults, burglaries, domestic disturbances, driving while intoxicated cases, thefts, harassment complaints, medical issues, paper service requests, prisoner transports, reports of suspicious persons, traffic stops and warrant services. Not every call resulted in an official report being generated.
Among the reports filed during this period were cases involving driving while revoked or suspended licenses in Cassville; several vehicle lockouts across Cassville and Monett; misuse of the emergency number in Butterfield; domestic assault incidents in Butterfield and Purdy; and significant thefts reported in Cassville and Eagle Rock. Other offenses documented included trespassing in Purdy and Seligman; tampering with a witness in Cassville; fraudulent property pledging or selling in Aurora; property damage incidents in Purdy and Aurora; unlawful possession of firearms in Exeter; sexual misconduct allegations in Cassville; harassment complaints across multiple towns including Butterfield and Cassville; burglary reported in Washburn; unlawful use of weapons reported from Eagle Rock;
and peace disturbance incidents noted in Cassville.
The summary provides insight into the variety and frequency of law enforcement activity within Barry County over one week. It reflects ongoing efforts by local authorities to address both routine public safety matters and more serious criminal offenses within their jurisdiction.
As law enforcement continues its regular operations throughout Barry County,
