Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV, is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms.
Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, especially for infants and older adults.
RSV is the most common cause of bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lung) and pneumonia (infection of the lungs) in children younger than 1 year of age in the United States. https://www.cdc.gov/rsv/index.html

The City of Monett has completed installation of a permanent EZ Dock at South Park Pond. A public celebration is set for May 11 with more events planned throughout May.
Monett City Council thanked local organizations after an employee appreciation picnic held at Ritchey Mill. The event featured donated food, antique cars, flights with a pilot, and games for city staff.
The Barry County Sheriff’s Office handled over two hundred calls for service between April 20 and April 26. Incidents ranged from thefts and assaults to property damage across several communities.
