Rep. Eric Burlison, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district, shared his views on various political matters through a series of tweets in March 2025. These posts reflect his positions on federal governance, education, and national policies.

On March 21, 2025, Burlison expressed support for President Trump’s executive order aimed at reducing the size of the Department of Education. He described this move as an act of courage and advocated for Congress to dismantle the agency to enable states and parents to lead educational innovation. “President Trump’s bold executive order to shrink the Department of Education shows his courage.”

The following day, on March 22, Burlison commented on Major League Baseball’s (MLB) decision to remove diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from its career page. He attributed this change to his previous criticism of MLB’s policies regarding DEI practices. Burlison stated that MLB’s actions signaled a swift decline in support for such measures. “Nine days after my letter to Rob Manfred slamming MLB for punishing players over DEI and woke nonsense, the league gutted all DEI from its career page.”

Later that same day, Burlison addressed legislation related to firearms regulation by referring to H.R. 221, a bill proposing the abolition of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). His brief comment underscored his strong opposition to this regulatory body. “Total insanity. H.R. 221 will Abolish The ATF.”
