Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, has taken to social media to express his views on various political issues. His recent tweets reflect his stance on fiscal responsibility and critique of the Democratic Party.

On February 11, 2025, Rep. Burlison tweeted about prioritizing America and criticized Democrats for their reaction to what he described as a waste of taxpayer money being exposed. He urged followers to tune into an upcoming committee meeting, stating: “We are DONE putting America last. The Democrats are triggered because this total waste of your money is getting exposed.”

Later that day, he questioned the integrity of certain individuals receiving Social Security benefits while also voting, asking: “So they vote AND they collect Social Security? Who are these folks?” This tweet suggests concerns over potential discrepancies in voter eligibility and benefit collection.

In another tweet posted on February 11, 2025, Rep. Burlison previewed an upcoming hearing by the DOGE Committee. He anticipated that it would reveal evidence of misused taxpayer funds amidst what he termed “Democrat theatrics.” He stated: “Wednesday’s @DOGECommittee hearing will be full of Democrat theatrics. But it will also show the receipts—evidence of wasted taxpayer money that should enrage every American.”
