Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, has been vocal on various issues through his social media platform. On February 21, 2025, he shared several tweets addressing concerns about government spending and economic policies.

In one of his posts from February 21, 2025, Burlison questioned the rationale behind certain government expenditures: “How can Democrats keep justifying the insane amount of waste being spent on pet projects overseas? The era of handouts for radical globalists is over. Tune in next week!” This statement reflects his stance against what he perceives as unnecessary foreign spending.

Later that day, Burlison expressed concern about the status of the U.S. Dollar in another tweet: “The U.S. Dollar is at risk of losing its status as the world’s reserve currency. If America wants to stay ahead of the competition, we have to cut the red tape and revive domestic manufacturing.” He emphasized the need for policy changes to bolster domestic production.

In a subsequent post on February 21, 2025, Burlison highlighted issues with fiscal oversight: “Billions of taxpayer dollars are lost on improper payments every year. We need comprehensive oversight to reduce waste and ensure that benefits only go to Americans who truly need it.” His focus was on enhancing financial accountability within government programs.
