Eric Burlison, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media posts. Having replaced Billy Long in 2023, Burlison continues to express his perspectives on government size, gun rights, and energy solutions.

On March 21, 2025, Burlison quoted Ronald Reagan to comment on the persistence of government programs: “No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!”

Later that day, Burlison expressed support for President Trump and legislative efforts related to gun rights. He stated: “All we needed was a new president.” President Trump is committed to protecting our Second Amendment rights. H.R. 221 will ABOLISH the ATF.

In another post on March 21, Burlison advocated for small modular reactors (SMRs) as a solution for future energy needs: Small modular reactors (SMRs) could power America’s future by delivering a steady, scalable source of clean energy. SMRs offer a bold, reliable path to energy dominance.
