Born in Springfield, Missouri, and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison has been an active political figure with previous experience in the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate.

On March 5, 2025, Burlison tweeted about his anticipation for President Trump’s speech. He expressed his enthusiasm by stating “On my way to the chamber to hear President Trump unveil his bold vision for America’s Golden Age. Glad it’s not another Sleepy Joe snoozefest!”

Later that evening, Burlison questioned the absence of President Biden at the event. He posted “Did none of the Dems invite Joe tonight?” suggesting a lack of Democratic presence.

Additionally, Burlison expressed camaraderie with fellow Republican colleague Mark Harris during the event. He noted “Great to be with my fellow patriot and colleague @RepMarkHarrisNC for President Trump’s speech tonight.”
