Two days and two lives saved.

Last week, two deputies were recognized for their lifesaving actions earlier this month.

On May 9th Sgt. Calvin was flagged down in reference to an unresponsive male inside a vehicle on a convenience store parking lot. The individual was not breathing and did not have a pulse. After a quick assessment, NARCAN was administered at which time the individual began breathing again.

On May 10th Detective Sgt. Mercer responded to a call of an elderly individual not conscious and not breathing. The male had no pulse and Sgt. Mercer began CPR. After chest compressions the male responded and regained consciousness. He was transported to the hospital where he made a full recovery.
