MoDOT to conduct I-64 Boone Bridge washing starting March 10

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting bridge washing operations on the I-64 Boone Bridge westbound and the Route 370 Discovery Bridge westbound over the Missouri River over the next several weeks.

Crews will be washing the bridges as part of routine maintenance from the salt and chemicals used during winter operations. All work is weather permitting.

Lane closures will be in place at these locations:

  • March 10-11: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one left lane or one right lane closed on westbound I-64 Boone Bridge.
  • March 11: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one right lane closed on westbound Route 370 Discovery Bridge.
  • March 13-18: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., up to two left or right lanes closed on westbound

I-64.

  • March 13-18- 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., two lanes closed on westbound Route 370.
  • March 20-25: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., one left or right lane closed on westbound I-64.
  • March 20-25: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., left lane closed on westbound Route 370.
  • The right lane and the shared use path on the westbound Route 370 bridge remain closed until March 21.

Additional bridge washing is scheduled to occur on the I-70 Blanchette Bridge over the Missouri River and the Route 21 bridge over the Meramec River. A schedule and list of lane closures will be released when work is set to begin at those locations.
