On Saturday, March 14, at noon, the Northeastern State Riverhawks, featuring former Carthage High School standout Jensyn Elder, secured a 6-2 victory over the Emporia State Hornets in NCAA Division II softball.
Trusler Sports Complex hosted the contest, which marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.
Elder pitched seven innings, surrendering one earned run with one walk and one strikeout.
The Riverhawks are set to play their next game on Friday, March 20, at 3 p.m. at RiverHawks Park, where they will face the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats.
