Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, has recently expressed his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. Burlison, who assumed office in 2023 after serving in the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, is known for his firm stance on several policy matters.

On December 4, 2024, Burlison tweeted: “You know it’s bad when even Chuck Schumer can’t defend you.” This statement suggests a critique directed at an unspecified issue or individual that he believes even prominent figures like Chuck Schumer cannot support.

Later that day, Burlison commented on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), tweeting: “The ATF abuses the 2nd Amendment again and again and again. It’s way past time to abolish this rogue agency.” His tweet underscores his critical view of the ATF’s actions regarding Second Amendment rights.

In another tweet on December 4, Burlison addressed immigration concerns by stating: “Illegal aliens aren’t just breaking the law, endangering Americans, and threatening our national security. They’re also placing a huge financial burden on American taxpayers. We must secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. It’s non-negotiable.” Here, he emphasizes the perceived risks posed by illegal immigration to national security and economic stability.
