Rep. Eric Burlison, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district, shared his views on social media regarding budgetary opportunities and Major League Baseball (MLB) policies. Known for his active engagement in political discourse, Rep. Burlison’s comments reflect his perspectives on current issues.

On March 14, 2025, Rep. Burlison expressed optimism about balancing the national budget under President Trump’s administration, emphasizing the importance of Congressional action to seize this opportunity. He stated, “We have an opportunity to balance the budget under President Trump. Congress must not let it go to waste.”

In another post on the same day, Rep. Burlison questioned MLB’s decision-making concerning player Trevor Bauer, suggesting that non-sporting factors might be influencing his exclusion from play. He queried, “Is the MLB keeping @BauerOutage off the mound for his political beliefs? Fans deserve transparency.”

Later that day, he criticized MLB’s adherence to what he termed a “dying woke agenda,” arguing that it is detrimental to both the sport and its fans. Rep. Burlison commented, “MLB’s stubborn refusal to ditch the dying woke agenda and end their collusion against @BauerOutage is a pathetic misstep. Let the man pitch—America’s done with the nonsense, and baseball should be too.”
