Eric Burlison, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 7th district, shared several tweets expressing his views on the abolition of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The congressman replaced Billy Long in 2023 and has a history of serving in both the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate.

Later that day, Burlison tweeted about his stance on the ATF with a post stating: "Reason INFINITY to ABOLISH THE ATF."

In another tweet posted on January 23, 2025, he expressed gratitude towards supporters by acknowledging their backing for legislation aimed at abolishing the ATF. He wrote: "Thank you to the growing list of cosponsors for H.R. 221 - To ABOLISH The ATF."
