Rep. Eric Burlison, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 7th district, has recently taken to social media to express his concerns and positions on various issues. His statements reflect his views on government spending and practices within federal agencies.

On February 6, 2025, Rep. Burlison criticized the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for allegedly honoring individuals involved in controversial practices. He stated, "Today I discovered that the USDA has enshrined vile individuals like 'Dr. Dubey' in their Hall of Fame for the grotesque practice of purchasing dog and cat meat from China to feed to lab dogs and cats in the U.S." He further emphasized his disapproval by highlighting taxpayer money being used for what he termed "kitty cannibalism."

In another post dated February 7, 2025, Rep. Burlison simply tweeted "$2.7 TRILLION ", though he did not provide additional context or details regarding this figure.

Later that day, Burlison addressed fiscal responsibility and government spending in Washington D.C., stating "The American people gave us a mandate to break the conditioning and end the reckless spending in Washington." He assured constituents that under the oversight of @DOGECommittee, there would be strict accountability measures implemented for taxpayer dollars.
