Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri's 7th district since 2023, has been active on social media discussing various issues ranging from historical events to legislative progress. Burlison, who succeeded Billy Long in Congress and previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, uses his platform to address both past controversies and current policy matters.

On May 20, 2025, Burlison questioned the actions of the CIA regarding Lee Harvey Oswald's activities prior to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. He posed the question: "Why did the CIA try to hide Lee Harvey Oswald's interactions in Mexico City from Congress?" Citing a witness from the original House Select Committee on Assassinations, he raised concerns about whether JFK's assassination was an orchestrated event or an unforeseen incident involving a rogue asset.

The following day, on May 21, 2025, Burlison shared his views on energy policy through another tweet. He stated that "A truly sustainable energy future demands market-driven innovation, not parasitic subsidies that weaken the grid while taxpayers foot the bill." This reflects his stance on promoting innovation within market dynamics over government subsidies.

Later that same day, Burlison announced progress related to one of his legislative efforts. He expressed pride in advancing H.R. 2409, known as the Guidance Clarity Act, out of committee. In his tweet, he highlighted that "Unelected bureaucrats have abused guidance documents to impose backdoor regulations that confuse and intimidate businesses." He emphasized the need for transparency and urged support for passing this legislation.

Eric Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and resides in Ozark. He holds two degrees from Missouri State University and has been involved in state politics since serving in various capacities beginning in 2009.
