At several community stops, a project called the “Caravan of Hope” featured a prominent “canvas of hope.” Residents and students were invited by members of Ozark Center’s Crisis Services to write messages on the canvas. Many participants contributed, filling the display with encouraging notes in various colors.

Some of the messages included: “There is always hope!”, “You matter.”, “Hold on if you’re feeling a little unsteady. There is HOPE for a better tomorrow.”, “Hope is free. Have some of mine.”, and “Life is tough – but you are tougher.”

Organizers reminded attendees that anyone experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm can dial or text 988 for immediate assistance.
