STEM “Science, Technology, Engineering, Math”  all  projects    youth shared at  their  discover day at Liberal Community Center . The youth worked through a rotation of activities including  building a foosball game, exploring sounds of the Pan Flute, and Healthy Soils challenge . Creative minds used craft supplies and a shoe box to design a model foosball game complete with teams and a scoreboard . The pan flutes were created by measuring straws calculating the correct length for the best tone . The  Healthy Soil challenge offered information on   learning  how soil stores carbon providing a nutrient rich environment to grow food.   Did you know Healthy Soil keeps the environment cleaner?   Youth learned by  managing soil properly it  protects plants and helps them  plants will grow vigorously. Youth  built a soil mixture and  planted seeds they would like to transplant  in their  gardens.   The work stations  were prepared to build and design their own project using  decision making skills. Every project was an original   It was a fun day as the youth shared with each other their challenges,  and designs   while having a good time meeting together  Enjoy the highlights.
