9% of households in Newtonia received food stamps in 2020

Newtonia ranked 624th in Missouri for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were six Newtonia households (9 percent) who received food stamps. Newtonia's population was 183 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Howardville, which had 120 of 154 households receiving food stamps, 68.9 percent more than Newtonia. In 2020 the population of Howardville was 346.

The cities with the lowest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state were Ladue and Twin Oaks. In these cities, 0.3 percent of households received food stamps - 8.7 percent less than Newtonia.
