3.1% of citizens unemployed in Barry County in 2021

Barry County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 466 people out of the 34,648 living in Barry County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Barry County has decreased compared to the 3.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Barry County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 14,687 people who had a job during that time, 17 were employed in the Armed Forces and 14,670 belonged to the civilian labor force.
