Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, has taken to social media to express his stance on several issues. With a background in the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, Burlison has been vocal about his views on federal policies and administration actions.
On November 26, 2024, Burlison criticized the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), claiming that "The ATF overrules your state law enforcement to infringe on your Second Amendment rights." He announced plans to reintroduce a bill by former Representative Matt Gaetz aimed at abolishing the ATF.
Later that day, Burlison commented on international affairs involving Ukraine. He stated that "The Biden-Harris administration convinced Ukraine to abandon a peace deal three months into this conflict." He attributed this decision to numerous deaths and asserted that the Trump-Vance administration would prevent further conflicts initiated by "war hawks."
On November 27, 2024, Burlison addressed domestic political tensions by stating "The American people are sick of federal agencies attacking conservatives." He expressed optimism that such partisan behavior would conclude in the near future.
