On December 10, Rep. Burlison expressed his support for Pete Hegseth as a candidate to lead the Department of Defense. He stated: "Pete Hegseth is a battle-hardened, combat veteran who honorably served our country. He is the perfect pick to lead the DOD."
The following day, December 11, he announced an upcoming appearance on American Sunrise with Dr. Gina Loudon by tweeting: "Hopping on @RealAmVoice American Sunrise with @RealDrGina now! Tune in!"
Later that day, Rep. Burlison criticized the Biden-Harris administration regarding their treatment of a political figure he referred to as a "patriot." He tweeted: "Never forget that the Biden/Harris Regime threw this patriot in jail and made him a political prisoner. There still must be accountability for this injustice - the American people demand it."
