Rep. Eric Burlison, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district, shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets on January 27, 2025. Burlison has been in office since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long and previously served in both the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate.

In a tweet posted at 16:52 UTC, Rep. Burlison questioned the efficiency of federal disaster response efforts. He stated, "Every time disaster strikes, who's really on the front lines? It's the local volunteers, private sector companies, and everyday citizens stepping up. FEMA's 'help' is still somewhere in transit stuck in bureaucratic red tape."

Later that day at 18:03 UTC, Burlison expressed skepticism about governmental reform efforts with a statement regarding Washington D.C., commonly referred to as "The Swamp." He tweeted, "The Swamp is not drained and it will continue to challenge every move towards making America strong again."

At 19:07 UTC on the same day, Rep. Burlison emphasized parental rights over government intervention concerning children's welfare by stating,"Parents, not government bureaucrats, know what's best for their children."
