Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, has shared his views on pressing national issues through a series of tweets. A former member of the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate, Burlison has voiced concerns about the future financial stability of major government programs and critiqued spending decisions.

On February 14, 2025, Rep. Eric Burlison expressed concerns about the fiscal future of Social Security and Medicare. He stated that "Social Security goes bankrupt in 8 years. Medicare goes bankrupt in 10 years." He warned that if these issues are not addressed, "the USD will be completely devalued in 15 years."

The following day, on February 15, 2025, Burlison commented on what he perceives as excessive spending with a tweet stating "Could have built two walls and a moat for that price." The context of this remark was not specified.

Later on February 15, Burlison made another brief statement via Twitter expressing his view on the Democratic Party's current state: "Dems at rock bottom". This tweet did not provide further details or context regarding his assertion.
