In another tweet dated February 19, 2025, Burlison addressed economic issues faced by Americans. He remarked that "60% of Americans have been living paycheck to paycheck funding government pet projects that don’t even benefit them." He questioned how cutting wasteful spending could be considered a constitutional crisis.

Later on February 19, 2025, Burlison announced an initiative aligned with Trump's energy agenda. He expressed pride in organizing "our key subcommittee’s first hearing to support Trump’s agenda to restore American energy dominance." The focus is on reducing regulations and fostering innovation to provide affordable and reliable energy access for Americans.
