Eric Burlison, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 7th district since 2023, has shared his views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Burlison, who succeeded Billy Long in Congress and previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, has expressed his stance on gun control laws, economic policies under the Biden administration, and federal budget cuts.
On February 20, 2025, Burlison commented on legal measures affecting gun owners. He stated: "Good riddance. Her legal tenure backed rules that targeted law-abiding gun owners, like pistol brace bans and dealer overreach. H.R. 221 will ABOLISH the ATF."
The following day, February 21, he addressed economic concerns linked to current administrative policies: "Under the Biden Administration, the Green New Steal set our economy back by a decade. Eliminating burdensome regulations and unleashing American energy will be key to putting our economy back on track."
Later that same day, Burlison highlighted national debt issues and fiscal responsibility: "America is 36 trillion dollars in the red. If we're not even willing to make modest cuts like @SenRandPaul’s amendment to cut $1.4 trillion over a decade, how do we expect to make a dent?"
