Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri's 7th district, has shared his views on several current political issues through a series of tweets. Having served in the U.S. Congress since 2023, Burlison replaced Billy Long and has been active in expressing his opinions on social media.
On March 12, 2025, Burlison commented on what he perceives as misuse of taxpayer money. He stated: "Imagine the depths of disgust one must have to find 'loopholes' to funnel your taxpayer money to illegal aliens." He mentioned that this topic would be discussed further on "Fresh Freedom" with Paul Winfree.
The following day, March 13, 2025, Burlison expressed support for former President Trump and Lee Zeldin's efforts in regulatory reform. He tweeted: "President Trump and @epaleezeldin are building a pro-growth regulatory environment that will support industry and unleash American energy for years to come." He thanked them for restoring what he termed "common sense" to the White House.
Later on the same day, Burlison criticized Democrats' approach towards government spending by stating: "Democrats would rather shut down the government than cut government waste."
