Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri's 7th district since 2023, has been active on social media, expressing his views on various legislative issues. Burlison succeeded Billy Long in Congress and previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate.

On March 19, 2025, Burlison tweeted about the National Firearms Act (NFA), highlighting its historical context. He stated that "When the National Firearms Act was passed into law, that $200 tax stamp was equivalent to nearly $5,000 today." He argued that this was an attempt by the federal government to limit Americans' constitutional rights through financial barriers and called for support for H.R. 335 to repeal the NFA.

Later that day, he addressed Daylight Saving Time in another tweet. Burlison pointed out the biannual time change routine and remarked that "It's clear that Americans are fed up with it." He advocated for Congress to pass the Sunshine Protection Act to make Daylight Saving Time permanent.

On March 20, 2025, Burlison criticized Tim’s stance regarding an American company involved in transportation innovation. He commented on Tim's perspective by stating "So instead of rooting for an American company that's revolutionizing transportation and employing roughly 70,000 Americans, Tim is cheering its decline." His remarks suggest disapproval of what he perceives as negative sentiment towards domestic industry progress.
