Rep. Eric Burlison, currently serving Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed various issues and questions through a series of tweets. Burlison, who replaced former congress member Billy Long in 2023, previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives and Missouri Senate. As a prelude to a town hall meeting, Burlison engaged with topics including protester concerns, the national debt, and political controversies related to the impeachment of Trump on March 26, 2025.

In a tweet from March 26, 2025, Burlison stated, "As an appetizer to tonight’s town hall, I sat down to answer questions raised by protesters at my office. I welcome all questions! Addressing the national fiscal situation, Burlison tweeted on March 26, 2025, "Our national debt is nearing $37 trillion, which is an unsustainable disaster. DOGE is fighting hard to cut waste, fraud, and abuse in government, and I’m all for it." He invited people to partake in his town hall by asking questions through a provided link.

On March 26, 2025, Burlison raised a political inquiry about former President Trump, asking, "What would it take to impeach Trump?" He criticized actions such as allowing unvetted migrants and leveraging political positions for personal enrichment.
