Rep. Eric Burlison, representing Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, has recently shared his perspectives on budget cuts, IRS agent funding, and firearm suppression taxation through a series of tweets. A native of Springfield, Missouri, and an alumnus of Missouri State University, Burlison transitioned to Congress after serving in the Missouri House of Representatives and Missouri Senate.

On April 3, 2025, Rep. Burlison commented on former President Donald Trump's efforts. He remarked, "President Trump’s paving the way for the swamp to get serious about spending cuts. It takes real courage to tackle the budget!” This statement was directed to the audience of the @anniefreyshow.

The following day, April 4, 2025, Burlison shared his views on taxpayer funding and IRS agents. He stated, "The best part is you know these aren't 87,000 new IRS agents paid for by the taxpayer."

Later on the same day, Burlison addressed issues of firearm regulation, particularly concerning suppressors and short-barreled rifles. He advocated for legislative change with the tweet, "Taxing suppressors and SBRs is control, not safety. Scrap this relic. H.R. 335 will REPEAL the NFA."
