Rep. Eric Burlison, representing Missouri's 7th district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently shared several thoughts on social media. Burlison, who succeeded former Congress member Billy Long, has a background in Missouri's state government, having served in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

On April 16, 2025, Rep. Burlison expressed his contentment with life in his region with the statement "Always a good day in Southwest Missouri!"

The following day, April 17, 2025, Burlison addressed political matters, criticizing the opposition party by posting, "Instead of addressing issues like economic stability or job security, Democrats have doubled down on policies and rhetoric that feel performative and exclusionary." He praised works from media outlets The Hayride and The American Spectator.

Later on April 17, 2025, he encouraged public participation in an artistic event, promoting, "Vote now for your favorite artwork of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. The winner will have their artwork displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol!"

Eric Burlison's earlier career includes a tenure in the Missouri House from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield, Missouri, Burlison, aged 46, resides in Ozark and is an alumnus of Missouri State University.
