Eric Burlison, serving as U.S. Representative for Missouri's 7th district since 2023, took to social media to express his perspectives on various policy matters. His remarks reflect his stance on the Trump administration's achievements, gun rights, and federal taxation.

On April 28, 2025, Burlison commented on the early accomplishments of the Trump administration, stating that "The Trump administration earns an 'A' grade for its bold first 100 days, delivering a courageous blueprint for an America First agenda. Congress, however, must step up and codify his executive actions."

Later that day, Burlison addressed his position on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) by asserting that "The ATF's overreach undermines Second Amendment rights and must be abolished. My work in the Missouri legislature shows that starting the conversation can drive legislative progress." His previous experience in Missouri’s legislature informs his current approach.

Concluding his statements on the same day, Burlison highlighted his views on taxation related to the National Firearms Act (NFA), noting that "The $200 tax stamp on NFA items is an outdated and unnecessary tax on law-abiding Americans. Congress must eliminate it."

Burlison, 46, was born in Springfield, Missouri, and holds two degrees from Missouri State University. Before entering Congress, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives and Missouri Senate.
