Eric Burlison, a current U.S. Congress member representing Missouri’s 7th district, recently shared his views on several pressing national issues through a series of tweets. Having served in Congress since 2023 after taking over from Billy Long, Burlison has a background in both the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate. Born in 1976 in Springfield, Missouri, he now resides in Ozark and is an alumnus of Missouri State University.

On April 29, 2025, Burlison conveyed his satisfaction with the state of the nation, highlighting the significant reduction in illegal crossings by 94%, considerable private investments, the end to what he termed the "Green New Scam," and a focus on "Peace Through Strength" and "Protecting women in sports." He confidently declared, "Still not tired of winning."

Later that day, Burlison commented on the challenges of building factories in certain states, describing a contrast between the speed of construction and the lengthy permitting process required to power them. He emphasized the importance of "Permitting reform and reliable energy" for the resurgence of American industrial strength. This sentiment was shared in his post stating, "Permitting reform and reliable energy are key to restoring American dominance in production."

Additionally, Burlison addressed the issue of governmental spending cuts, noting the complexity and necessity of identifying and executing the correct reductions. He expressed his view that the topic, though often handled with levity, now demands serious courage. He encapsulated this perspective, saying, "Talking about spending cuts has been a swampy joyride—but now it takes real courage to identify the right cuts and take action."

Eric Burlison, at 46 years of age, is navigating these national concerns as part of his congressional duties, drawing on his extensive experience in state and national politics.
