Rep. Eric Burlison, serving in the U.S. Congress for Missouri's 7th district since 2023 and a former member of both Missouri’s House and Senate, conveyed his perspectives on prominent issues through Twitter on April 30, 2025.

In a tweet posted on April 30, 2025, at 15:00 UTC, Burlison commented on the symbolism of DOGE in relation to former President Trump’s commitment. He tweeted, "DOGE embodies President Trump’s ironclad promise to make government serve the people, not the elites."

Later that day, at 16:27 UTC, Rep. Burlison acknowledged Jasmyn Piwko’s achievement from Nixa High School in winning the Congressional Art Competition. He tweeted, "Congratulations to Jasmyn Piwko from Nixa High School for winning this year’s Congressional Art Competition with her piece 'The Vintage Visit.' This artwork will represent MO-07 in the U.S. Capitol for the next year." Burlison expressed gratitude to her teacher, highlighting the significance of arts in education.

In his final tweet of the day, posted at 18:24 UTC, Rep. Burlison revisited past political discourse about the national debt. He referenced former President Obama's stance from 14 years ago, quoting, "Eliminating waste and abuse is not enough." and questioned the current Democratic leadership's transparency in addressing similar issues.

Eric Burlison, aged 46, hails from Springfield, Missouri, and currently resides in Ozark. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Missouri State University.
