Eric Burlison, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, has conveyed his views on recent national issues via a series of tweets. Burlison's statements, shared on May 2, 2025, address fiscal concerns and political dynamics under the current administration.

In his first tweet posted at 18:02: "Reckless spending, loans to dead people, NGO grants for alpaca farming in Peru. @DOGE is exposing Washington's grifters in every agency." Congressman Burlison criticized what he perceives as fiscal inefficiencies within government spending practices.

Later, in a separate tweet posted at 19:20: "How did we descend into this dystopian madness? The Biden regime, with its Marxist playbook and contempt for the rule of law." Burlison expressed his disapproval of the current administration's policies, attributing a dystopian decline to its governance.

In a final tweet posted at 20:23: "Congress needs to stop dragging its feet. Anything short of codifying the Trump EOs is political malpractice." Here, Burlison urged Congress to act decisively to formalize executive orders established during the Trump administration, emphasizing that failure to do so would be a significant oversight.

Eric Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri, in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. He graduated from Missouri State University in 2000 with a BA, continuing his education there until 2002. Before joining the U.S. Congress, Burlison served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023.
