Later that day at 21:25 UTC, he introduced his legislative proposal aimed at curbing government subsidies for green energy projects. He stated: "My bill, the UNPLUG EVs Act, will ensure Americans are not subsidizing government-mandated green energy scams."

At 22:34 UTC on the same day, Rep. Burlison emphasized the need for congressional action with regard to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). He declared: "BIG. LEAGUE. Now Congress MUST take action. H.R. 221 will ABOLISH THE ATF."
